Logged: Oct 10, 2026
Platform and place: YouTube, comments under two Tyler Oliveira videos on Lakewood, NJ and the Hasidic E-Rate fraud case; compared against Jewish news sites' comment sections
What: dehumanizing, conspiracy and "noticing" comments aimed at Hasidic and Orthodox Jews as a group
Scale: about 6.9 million views across the two videos; about 370 comments read; the most-liked hostile comments carry 1,500 to 2,600 likes
Status: three comments crossed ANIA's escalation markers, none a direct threat; accounts on watch; not referred to police
Source grade: A2

Where it isn't

The Jewish outlets' own comment sections are clean. About 160 approved comments on Monsey Scoop, read from Aug 5 to Oct 9, showed no hostility toward Jews. Rockland Daily has almost no reader comments. Yeshiva World News, Matzav, VINnews and COLlive are low-volume and in-community. The Jewish Press has comments closed.

Where it is

The hostility is on YouTube, under two videos by creator Tyler Oliveira: one on the Hasidic E-Rate fraud case (about 6.3 million views) and one on Lakewood, NJ (about 690,000 views and 5,478 comments).

Criticism of the specific E-Rate defendants is fair game and is not counted here. What is counted is comments that attack Hasidim or Jews as a group:

  • "Drained by parasites" (Person A, about 2,600 likes) and "the definition of parasitic behaviour" (Person B, about 1,700 likes)

  • "The Great Noticing continues" (Person C, about 1,900 likes) and "We are noticing, the great noticing" (Person D, about 2,500 likes), a white nationalist catchphrase for blaming Jews

  • "If you want to know who controls you, look at who you are not allowed to criticize" (Person E, about 700 likes), a line long circulated in antisemitic memes

  • A comment wondering what Lakewood residents are "hiding in their basements," paired with a claim about missing children: blood libel in modern form

The three that crossed a line

Three comments go past grievance into ANIA's escalation markers: "It's time to go out on the streets" (Person F, 310 likes); a comment saying Jews are "finally starting to get all the hate they deserve" (Person G); and one passing along a claim that the Holocaust was "brought on by themselves" (Person H). None names a target, place or time, so none is a threat under the law. All three accounts are on ANIA's 90-day watch list.

The pattern

No single comment is the story. The volume is. Dehumanizing lines pointed at Lakewood and Rockland are drawing thousands of likes on videos seen by millions, while the communities' own news sites stay quiet.

What the platform did

YouTube and Tyler Oliveira were not contacted at the time of logging. Both are being asked for comment, and this entry will be updated with any response.

Method and disclosure: top comments by likes read on both videos, plus 53 replies in the top Lakewood thread; a sample, not a census; counts as displayed Oct 10. Commenters are identified as Person A through H under our standards. ANIA is a privately held, independent intelligence firm, not a government agency.
