What we found
A plain Substack search for "jews" returns openly antisemitic material on its first page, ranked as top results. ANIA ran 31 keywords through Substack's own search, pulled 275 unique posts (mostly Sept 1 to Oct 12, 2026), and read every post whose title suggested hate.
22 posts from 17 publications scored as antisemitic. Eight were in the most serious tier: Holocaust denial, blood libel and open Nazi advocacy. Among them:
A full Holocaust denial explainer, "Sixty-six Questions and Answers about the Holohoax" (209 reactions, 132 comments)
A post saying Jews start wars to kill Gentiles (243 reactions, 147 comments)
A book promotion by Germar Rudolf, a convicted Holocaust denier, titled "Judaism: A Genocidal Cult"
A self-described National Socialist publication describing an in-person protest that ends "Hail Hitler"
A new translation of Nazi propagandist Johann von Leers
The single most-engaged post, "How did the West Forget it's Been at War with Judaism for 2,000 Years?", drew 886 reactions and 201 comments on a publication with hundreds of paid subscribers.
Who gets paid
9 of the 17 antisemitic publications have Substack payments turned on. Two carry Substack's "Hundreds of paid subscribers" badge, and one pitches a $40-a-year subscription inside a post asking whether Jews are "really Semites at all." Substack keeps 10 percent of paid subscription revenue.
It is not only Jews
A second pass found 16 posts from 14 publications targeting South Asians, Black people, LGBTQ people, immigrants and women. The most targeted group after Jews is Indians and South Asians: six posts used the same anti-Indian slur. One National Socialist post said women who have abortions "should both be executed and done so publicly."
The same small set of writers hates several groups at once, and antisemitism is the thread through all of it: the anti-Indian and anti-Black posts repeatedly blame Jews for the migration they complain about.
Why it stays up
None of the 38 posts, and none of the roughly 340 comments read, contained an explicit threat or a direct call for violence. That matters, because Substack's hate rule only bars content that incites violence or makes credible threats against protected groups. Holocaust denial, blood libel and "the Jewish problem" fall outside it. The material sits just under Substack's own line.
What the platform did
Substack's press and enforcement teams were asked for comment on Oct 12. The enforcement team said statements for publication come from the press office, and that it reviews reports against its Content Guidelines but does not discuss action on individual publishers. The press office had not responded when this entry was added. Stripe, which processes Substack payments, was also asked and had not responded. This entry will be updated with any response.
Method and disclosure: Substack search is ranked and capped, so this is a sample, not a census; engagement counts as displayed Oct 12; comments read on three posts only; Reddit could not be swept. Commenters are not named; publications and published authors are. ANIA is a privately held, independent intelligence firm, not a government agency.
